Pushpavana Flowersit Nursery

Pushpavana Flowersit Nursery is our little spot over at 10 Madhavanpark Makrand Desai Road. It is mostly a quiet place with a lot of green things around. I spend most of my time here digging in the dirt or watering the saplings. It gets quite hot on Makrand Desai Road during the afternoons, so keeping the plants alive is a full-time job. We have some small shrubs and different kinds of flowers in plastic pots scattered around the yard. The gate at 10 Madhavanpark usually stays open so people can walk in and look around. It is not a very big place and things can get a bit messy when the wind blows leaves everywhere. My hands are usually covered in mud by the time I have my lunch. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. Just rows of plants sitting on the ground. Sometimes the pots break and I have to move everything to new ones. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask what they should plant in their small balconies. I just tell them what I have seen work over the years. It is a simple life here among the leaves and the soil. I’ve been doing this for a long time and the nursery is just part of the local landscape now. We keep the smaller herbs near the front and the bigger trees in the back corner. It’s hard work but it’s what we do.
