Progressive Construction Co. is based out of Karawadi, which is a small village area in the Karad Taluka of Satara district. Being in Maharashtra, we are right in the heart of a very active region. Our office is just a simple place at the post of Karawadi. We don't have air conditioning or fancy glass walls. It’s more of a practical hub where we keep our gear and meet with the guys before we head out to a site. Construction in a place like Satara means you have to be ready for anything, from hot sun to heavy rains. We spend most of our time out in the field rather than sitting behind a desk. We’ve worked on all sorts of local projects, mostly just small stuff that helps the community grow. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know how to do. We usually start our day very early to beat the heat. There’s a lot of driving involved, going from one village to another to check on progress. We don't use any corporate jargon or try to sound like we are from a big city. We are just local people who understand how to build and repair things. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk, but we eventually get to it. Our focus is always on the actual work being done on the ground. It’s a steady life and we’ve been at it for a long time now.
