P.R.Nayak Associates

Started out at S.J. Nilaya in Kirlosker Colony quite some time back. It is a quiet spot near Shankarmutt in Bangalore-79. We usually get to the office by nine, though traffic can be a real headache on some mornings. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and some old filing cabinets filled with papers from over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting around the small table in the back discussing whatever projects are currently on the pile. Shivu Patil handles a lot of the coordination here. Sometimes the neighbors drop by for a chat since we’ve been in this building for a while. It’s mostly just a handful of us working hard to keep things moving. We drink a lot of tea from the stall down the street during the afternoon slump. There is always a stack of drawings or reports that need checking, and someone is usually complaining about the slow printer. It feels more like a home than a strict workplace most days. We don’t have big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just talk across the room when something needs to get done. Bangalore has changed a lot since we set up here, but our corner of the colony stays pretty much the same. It’s a bit dusty and crowded with files, but it works for us and we know where everything is kept.
