We are out in Whitefield, Bangalore, specifically in the 560066 pincode area. If you know this part of the city, you know the traffic can be a real headache. Pricewaterhousecoopers (Pwc) India Pvt Ltd has this office here and it is a pretty typical workspace. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the commute to end or getting through the pile of work on our desks. It’s a big room with rows of desks and plenty of wires running everywhere. We don’t really do anything too exciting, just lots of emails and checking boxes. The building is okay, it gets the job done. We have a small canteen where we get our lunch most days. Whitefield is always growing, so there is construction noise nearby quite often. We’ve got some posters on the walls to make it look a bit less plain, but it’s still just an office. It’s a lot of long hours sometimes, especially when there is a lot of filing to do. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People just show up, do their shift, and try to get home before the roads get completely blocked. It’s a simple routine. We talk about the local shops or the weather. It is just a regular group of workers trying to keep everything organized and moving along. We don’t use any big words to describe it, it’s just where we work every day. It’s fine.
