Precifine Abrasives

Peenya 2nd Stage is a massive place, and being on the 12th Cross in Doddanna Industrial Estate means we are right in the middle of all that daily activity. At 736-B, we focus on making abrasives. It’s a tough environment because of the heat and the constant fine dust that comes with the territory of this work. Every morning starts with the sound of the metal shutters going up and the machines clicking on one by one. We have a small group of people who have been with us for years, so we all know the routine without having to say much to each other. The workspace isn’t decorated or fancy; it’s just plain walls, heavy machinery, and rows of finished products waiting to be packed into crates. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and moving pallets around the floor. The 12th Cross can get jammed with lorries, making it a bit of a headache during delivery times. We usually eat our lunch together in the small back room away from the noise of the grinders. It’s a simple life, really. We make sure the grit of the abrasive material is right and that the orders match what people asked for. There’s no corporate vibe here, just a lot of sweat and getting the job done before the power cuts or the rains start. It’s what you expect from a place in an industrial estate. We keep our heads down and stay busy.
