Our trading business is located at No-25 on 16th Cross, Malleshwaram Road. We are very close to the Sai Baba Temple, which is a big landmark around here. Malleshwaram is a lovely old part of the city, and we feel lucky to have a spot here. The building we’re in has been around for a long time. It’s got high ceilings and old windows that let in a bit of a breeze. We deal with various goods, moving things from one place to another. Our office is small and filled with ledgers and samples. There isn't much room for fancy furniture. We spend most of our time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. It’s a social kind of job. We know the flower sellers and the tea stall guys on the corner quite well. Every Thursday, when the temple gets busy, the whole street feels different. We don’t do any big advertising. People just know we’re here on the 16th Cross. We keep things pretty simple. We buy what’s needed and sell it at a fair price. Some days are better than others, but that’s just how trading goes. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us making a living in a neighborhood we like. The stairs up to our place are a bit steep and narrow, so you have to be careful coming up. We don’t have any fancy computer systems for our inventory. Most of it is just stored in our heads or jotted down on old envelopes. It works for us.
