Being on 100 Feet Road in Dadikadappa means there is always traffic. You can hear the bikes and trucks from early morning until late at night. Our spot at 1-25 is right in the middle of it all. Prakash & Company isn't a huge place, but we try to keep it organized. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea while we look at what needs to be moved or sorted. The floor gets dusty fast with the road right there, so someone is always cleaning. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everything, but it keeps us busy. We have a few staff members who have been here since we first opened the doors. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just see the sign and walk in because they live nearby or they're passing through on the main road. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside during a quiet moment just to catch a breeze. Dadikadappa has changed a lot over the years, more buildings going up every time you look around. But we stay pretty much the same. We handle the daily tasks, talk to the delivery drivers, and make sure the accounts are mostly right at the end of the day. It is just a regular business running out of a regular building. Nothing too complicated about it. We just show up and do what needs doing until it's time to lock up. It's how we've always operated and it seems to work for us.
