Prajwal Tyres

You can find Prajwal Tyres at 272 Hosur Road. It’s right on the main stretch there, so the traffic is basically constant. We hear the cars and buses going by all day long, and the sound of horns is just something we live with now. The shop itself is pretty straightforward and does not have any bells or whistles. We have the tyres stacked up in piles and tools lying around on the floor where they are needed most. It’s not a clean place, but then again, working with heavy rubber and greasy wheels never is. Hosur Road is a major route for the city, so there is always a thick layer of road dust on everything by the end of the day. We spend most of our time outside on the pavement or near the front where we can see the road clearly. It gets pretty hot during the long afternoons when the sun hits the black pavement. We don't have a big office or a fancy waiting room, just a small corner with a fan where we keep the books and take a seat when things finally slow down for a minute or two. Most of the neighbors around us are also doing some kind of mechanical or industrial work, so our shop fits in well with the surroundings. We’ve been at this number 272 for a while now. The space is a bit tight when we have a lot of new stock coming in, but we manage.
