Prabhu Power Press

Prabhu Power Press is tucked away on the 2nd Cross near Shivananda Circle. It’s a busy area, being so close to the Bangalore GPO, so there’s always something happening outside our door. Our shop at 90/5 isn't the quietest place you'll ever visit, mainly because the machines are usually running most of the morning. We’ve got the old power presses set up and they do their job day in and day out. It’s dusty work and our hands usually have a bit of oil on them by noon, but that’s just how it goes in this line of business. The neighbors know us by the sound. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the workspace and a small area where we keep the finished parts. People come by when they need something specific made or pressed. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time now. The street is narrow, so parking can be a real pain if you aren't careful. We just focus on the work on the shop floor. Most of our tools have been with us for years. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't use a lot of technology for the office side of things, we just write stuff down and get the machines started. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we take a break for tea when the power goes out.
