Powergrid

We've been running things out of our spot on 14th Cross in HMT Layout for a good while now. If you know Vidyaranypura, you know it's a busy part of Bangalore, but our little corner stays pretty steady. We mostly deal with the day-to-day work of keeping the grid steady and making sure things stay powered up like they should. It isn't always glamorous work, and sometimes the traffic on the way to the office is a real headache, but we show up anyway. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us live nearby, so we know the area well. The office isn't much to look at, just a regular place where we get our paperwork done and handle the calls that come in. We don't really do the big fancy corporate thing. It’s more about making sure the lights stay on and the wires are where they need to be. Sometimes the monsoons make things a bit tricky, especially with the trees around here, but we manage. We just keep our heads down and do the job. People know where to find us if there’s a problem with the local lines. It's just us, working away in the 560097 area, trying to stay on top of things. Most days involve a lot of checking charts and making sure the equipment is behaving. It's basic stuff, really. We're just glad to be part of the neighborhood and doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble, but that's just part of the deal when you're in this business.
