Our place, Pondhan Scaffolding Pvt Ltd, is located at Jakkur Post on the 12th Cross Road, 2nd Phase, number 153. It’s a solid location for what we do because it gives us enough room for the materials. Scaffolding takes up a lot of space, so our yard is usually pretty packed with tubes and clamps. It’s a gritty kind of job. You’re always moving heavy parts and making sure the counts are right. We don’t wear suits here. It’s mostly boots and work shirts because of all the dust. The office is just a small cabin at the front where we handle the invoices. It gets a bit hot in there during the afternoon, but we have a fan that does the trick. We’ve been at this Jakkur spot for a while now. The guys who work here are used to the heavy lifting. We don’t talk much about visions or goals; we just talk about what needs to go out on the truck today. It’s a practical way to run things. Sometimes the traffic on 12th Cross makes things a bit slow, but we plan around it. We are just a local team trying to keep the pipes and boards moving to where they are needed. It’s nothing fancy, just hard work and keeping track of the gear. We usually lock up around six and head home.
