Plumber

I work out of 16 Dasappa L/O in R.M. Nagar, Bangalore. It’s a residential area, so I’m always around people’s homes. My name is on the list as just Plumber, which is exactly what I am. I’ve got my bag of tools and a moped that gets me through the narrow lanes of 560016. Bangalore has a lot of pipe problems because of the old construction and the new stuff popping up everywhere. I spend most of my day under sinks or looking at leaky tanks on roofs. It’s messy work, and my hands are rarely clean. I don’t have a big staff, it’s mostly just me and sometimes a helper if the job is too big for one person. R.M. Nagar is a busy place, and I know most of the shopkeepers around here. I don’t use any fancy apps to find work; people usually just call my number because they heard from a neighbor. I try to get to everyone as fast as I can, but sometimes the traffic makes it hard. I’ve been doing this for years now. I know which houses have the old iron pipes and which ones have switched to PVC. I don't have a website or anything like that. My office is just a corner of my house where I keep the spare washers and wrenches. It’s a living, and it keeps me busy from morning till night. That's just how the job goes.
