Pit Shop

Pit Shop is over in Sanjay Nagar, Ambervet, within the Tal Mulsi area. You’ll find us right opposite the Aswatha Nagar Bus Stop. Because of the bus stop, there’s always a crowd of people standing around outside our front door. It makes the place feel very lived-in and busy. We deal with vehicles and all the grime that comes with them. Our floors are rarely clean for more than five minutes because there is always some car or bike being worked on. We’ve got stacks of tires and spare parts tucked into every corner of the shop. It’s a bit of a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The smell of petrol and rubber is just part of the atmosphere here. We started this shop because we liked working with our hands. On hot days, we leave the shutters all the way up to get some air flowing, though that also lets in the noise from the buses. The local drivers often stop by for a quick check-up or to ask a question while they are waiting for their route. We try to be helpful without making things complicated. We don't have a big marketing budget or any of that. We just rely on the fact that people see us at it when they pass by the bus stop. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We like the pace of things in Sanjay Nagar and wouldn't change it much. It gets dusty and loud, but that is just part of being across from a bus stop.
