I work over at the site in Nagasandra, Bangalore. The full address is S/O C. Veerappa Thippenahalli, and it’s a big place where things are always moving. You can hear the sound of tools and engines from the moment you walk through the gate. It’s not a quiet office job. Most of my day is spent walking around the floor or checking on the vehicles. There’s a lot of grease and metal everywhere. We have a routine where the morning shift starts early, and the tea break is the highlight of the day for most of us. The dust from the road outside settles on everything, so we are constantly wiping down the benches. I wear heavy boots because you never know what you might step on. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much time for sitting around and talking. Everyone has their own task, whether it's checking a part or moving a crate. The Bangalore weather is usually okay, but when it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We just keep working through it. There’s a small canteen where we eat lunch, and that’s where you hear all the local gossip. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, I’m usually pretty tired, but it’s a good place to be with people who know what they're doing.
