Our optical clinic is located in the BDA Complex at number 54 in Austin Town. It’s a familiar place for many folks living in this part of Bangalore. We’ve been set up here for quite some time now. The shop is mostly taken up by display cases for frames and the small room where we do the eye exams. It’s a simple, functional space. We don’t have any fancy marketing or big posters out front. Most people find us because they are already in the complex doing their shopping. We spend our days checking people’s eyesight and helping them figure out which contact lenses work best for them. Some people are a bit nervous about putting things in their eyes, so we spend time showing them the right way to do it. The complex can be a bit loud and dusty, but inside the shop, we try to keep things orderly. We see everyone from students to elderly neighbors who need their bifocals fixed. It’s the kind of place where we know many of our customers by name. Sometimes the frames people want are out of stock, so we have to order them in, which takes a few days. We don’t make a big deal out of things; we just do the work. It’s a practical, local shop that’s been part of the Austin Town community for years.
