Austin Town has a very specific character, and being in the BDA Shopping Complex at No. 54 puts us right in the center of things. We are on Kbar Road, and if you are coming by bus, the Neelasandra Bus Stop is right across from our entrance. It’s a convenient spot for people living in this part of Bangalore. The complex is one of those old-school buildings that has been around forever. Our shop isn't very big, but we have everything we need to take care of people's eyes. We do quite a bit of contact lens work here. That usually requires some patience, especially for people who have never worn them before. We sit down with them and show them how to put the lenses in and take them out. Phoenix Opticals & Contact Lens Clinic is filled with shelves of solutions, cases, and various frames. On most afternoons, you can see people looking through our windows while they wait for their bus to arrive. We have been here long enough to know all the other shopkeepers in the BDA complex. It feels like a small community. We don't use any fancy sales talk or marketing tricks. We just show people what frames are available and give them the facts. The lighting inside is bright so we can see the small details on the glasses. It is just honest work in a neighborhood we like.
