Pharmacon Gignos

You can find us over at No. 5 on Adi Kabir Ashram Road. It’s a pretty busy street in the Ravinder Nath Tagore Nagar area. Pharmacon Gignos is what it says on the sign outside our door. We deal with pharmaceutical supplies, which means a lot of our time is spent looking at lists of medicines and boxes of medical items. The office doesn't look like much, just some desks, old computers, and stacks of paper everywhere. We aren't into the whole corporate look with polished floors and fancy lights. It’s a working office where we spend most of the day on the phone or typing out invoices. Our staff is a small group of local people who have been with us for a while. We know each other well and we don't bother with formal meetings or big speeches. We just figure out what needs to be shipped and we get it done. Sometimes the road outside gets really congested, which makes getting deliveries in and out a bit of a pain, but we manage to make it work. We started out with just a couple of people and we haven't changed much since then. We like staying small because it’s easier to keep track of everything ourselves. It’s just a regular way to earn a living, and we’ve become a part of the daily life on this road over the years. We take our tea breaks together and just talk about what's going on in the neighborhood.
