We are based out of the Peenya Industrial Area in Bangalore, specifically at 12 A. If you know Bangalore, you know Peenya is a massive place full of factories and workshops. It’s always loud with the sound of machinery and there's a lot of dust in the air. At Triveni Turbine Ltd., we work on turbines. It’s heavy engineering work that requires a lot of precision and patience. Our floor is usually covered in metal shavings and heavy tools. We have a lot of technicians who have been doing this for decades. They can tell if a machine is off just by listening to the hum it makes. We don't have any of those fancy Silicon Valley perks here. It's a place where people wear work boots and get their hands dirty. The traffic getting into Peenya in the morning is pretty bad, so we all start early to beat the worst of it. We manufacture and service these big units for power plants and other industrial sites. It’s a lot of coordination between the design guys and the guys on the floor. Sometimes a part doesn't fit right and we have to go back to the drawing board, which is frustrating but it's part of the process. We’ve been in this 560058 zip code for a long time and we’ve seen the area change around us while we just keep building these massive machines for our customers.
