Pavani Controls And Panels Ltd has a workshop over in Virat Nagar, which is in the Bommanahalli area of Bangalore. It is a very industrial spot with lots of noise and trucks and small shops all around us. We spend our time putting together various control panels and dealing with electrical components. It is often dusty work and the floor is usually covered in bits of wire and metal scraps by the end of the day. We are not a big fancy company with a polished showroom for guests. We just have our workspace where we get the actual work done. Most of us have been working here together for a long time. We know how the machines sound when they are running right and we can tell when they are not. Bommanahalli is always crowded, so getting our supplies delivered can be a real headache, but we are used to it. The office part of the building is just a small corner with a couple of old desks and a computer that is a bit slow. We do not have a lot of rules about what people wear, as long as the panels get built correctly and shipped on time. It is a bit of a chaotic place sometimes, especially when we have a big order to get out the door. We eat our lunch together in the back and talk about whatever is going on.
