Parameshwar Times

Parameshwar Times is right in the middle of Chickpet, specifically on PS Lane at No.326. If you know Chickpet, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people are always moving around. It’s a very busy wholesale area. Our shop is part of that rush. We deal with watches and clocks. The shop is narrow and the walls are covered from floor to ceiling with different styles of clocks. Some of them chime on the hour, which can be a bit much when they all go off at once. We get a lot of people coming in who are looking for items to sell in their own smaller shops in other parts of the city. Because it's Chickpet, everything is a bit cramped. We have boxes stacked in the corners and the counter is always busy with someone looking at a watch. The building is old, like most of the structures on PS Lane. The stairs are stone and worn down in the middle from all the feet that have passed over them. It’s a loud place, with the sounds of carts and people haggling right outside the door. We don't really have time for fancy decorations. We just focus on the stock and getting through the day's orders. It’s a hardworking atmosphere and it’s been that way for as long as I can remember being here. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but we keep the fans going.
