Own Business

We are situated out on Hosa Road, right near Electronic City in Bangalore. If you have ever driven through this area, you know exactly what the traffic is like. It can take forever just to get a few blocks down the road. Our place, which we just call Own Business, is a small setup we started to get away from the corporate grind. The building is simple, and we share the space with a few other small outfits. It is a bit of a dusty area because of all the construction happening nearby, so we are constantly wiping down our desks. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, it’s just the two of us handling everything from the emails to the heavy lifting. We like the independence of it, even if it means we have to do our own cleaning and fix the plumbing when it breaks. The weather in Bangalore is usually the only thing that keeps us sane when the work gets too much. We often grab lunch at the small dhabas nearby where the food is cheap and filling. Our days are pretty long, and we often find ourselves still working when the streetlights come on. It is not a glamorous life, but it is ours, and we are just trying to build something that lasts without having to answer to a bunch of bosses. It’s just about getting the work done.
