Origin Architects

We’re located over in Halasuru, right where 16th and 17th Main meet up near the 3rd and 6th crosses. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know Jayanagar well, but we like the location. Our office is a place where we mostly just focus on getting the drawings done. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of rolls of tracing paper that never seem to stay organized no matter how much we try. It’s a bit noisy outside sometimes with the traffic from the main road, but we’re used to it by now. We do a mix of things, some residential work for families and some smaller commercial bits for local shops. We don't really go for the high-end stuff; we just like to make sure a space makes sense for whoever is using it. There’s always someone in the back making a pot of coffee or looking for a scale ruler that went missing under a pile of blueprints. We spend a lot of our afternoons out on construction sites, checking if the pillars are going in the right place or if the plumbing is where it’s supposed to be. It’s a lot of back and forth between the office and the dusty spots where the actual building happens. We don’t have a receptionist, so we just answer the door ourselves when someone knocks. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We’ve been here for a while, and we know most of the guys at the hardware stores.
