Opto Circuits (India) Ltd. is over at Plot No. 83 in Electronics City. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets during the morning rush. The plot is fairly easy to find once you get into the main lanes. It’s an industrial sort of setting, surrounded by other electronics firms and manufacturing units. The building is practical, designed more for work than for looking fancy. We have our routines here, starting early before the sun gets too hot. Most of us have been working in this area for years, so we’ve seen Electronics City change quite a bit. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of people working and the occasional hum of machines. We aren't really the type to have big fancy meetings or shiny lobbies. It’s more about getting the tasks done and heading home before the traffic on the highway gets impossible. Lunch usually involves someone going out to get food or sitting in the break area chatting about the weekend. The walls are a neutral color, and there are posters up that have been there for ages. It feels like a real workplace where things actually happen. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as we can find our tools and the desks aren't too cluttered. Every day feels similar, but we like the consistency of the routine here in this part of Bangalore. It is just a place where people show up and do what needs doing.
