Ochre Architects

Being on the 100 Feet Ring Road in Banashankari 3rd Stage means there is never a quiet moment outside. Our office at number 20 in the 6th Block is where we do all the work for Ochre Architects. It is a decent-sized space, but it fills up fast when we have big drawings spread out over the floor. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a staircase should go or if a window is too small for the room. It isn't like those fancy offices you see in magazines; we have coffee stains on the desks and boxes of old files stacked up in the corner. People often stop by because they saw our sign while driving on the Ring Road. We talk to them about their ideas for a new home or maybe an office space. Most of the work is just sitting and thinking or visiting sites that are still just piles of bricks and sand. Banashankari is a huge area, and we feel like a small part of how it's growing. We don't have a big marketing department, we just rely on the work we finish and hope the people who live there are happy. The 3rd Stage has its own rhythm, and we have gotten used to the sound of the buses passing by while we try to figure out the best way to design a kitchen layout or a living room.
