Ocean Care Forwarders

We have been at the Manipal Centre on Dickenson Road for a while now. It is a busy spot right off MG Road, so there is always a lot going on around the building. Most days are just spent looking at papers and making sure things get where they need to go on the water. Ocean Care Forwarders is basically a small team of us working out of the 6th floor in room S-615. It isn’t a fancy setup, but it works for what we do. Shipping things across the ocean takes a lot of coordination, and we just try to keep up with the schedules. Sometimes the elevators in this building are slow, which makes for some long waits when we are in a hurry to get things filed. We handle a lot of the logistical side that people don’t really see. It’s mostly just making sure the containers are booked and the paperwork is sorted before the ships leave the port. People sometimes drop by since we are central, though most of our work happens over the phone or email. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It stays noisy out there on the street, but up here it is mostly just the sound of keyboards and printers. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a group of people doing freight work in a familiar building. It gets stressful when ships are delayed, but that is just how this business is. We stay busy and keep moving.
