We’ve been at this spot on 4th Main for a while now. Most people know us around Byatarayanapura. It’s a busy area right near Mysore Road. We handle building projects in the neighborhood. Sometimes things get messy on a site, but that’s just how construction is. We have a small crew. They show up early every morning. We deal with cement, bricks, and all that regular stuff. People stop by the office in the New Extension to talk about their houses. Sometimes we are out at a site and the office is quiet. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some desks and blueprints scattered around. It gets a bit dusty in here. My brother helps out with the accounts and the paperwork. We try to keep the trucks from blocking the cross road but neighbors sometimes complain anyway. It’s part of the job. We grew up around this part of Bangalore so we know the local suppliers. If a pipe leaks or a wall needs fixing, we just go look at it. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just build things. Sometimes the heavy rain slows us down. That’s just Bangalore for you. We just wait it out and get back to work the next morning. Most of our tools are stored in the back. We’ve seen this area change a lot lately. We just stay busy with our work.
