Nitya Nurseries & Landscapers

Nitya Nurseries & Landscapers is located at 721 New Kaval Bysandra, near the Agrahara area in Kondhwa Khurd. Our place is basically a big outdoor space filled with rows of plastic pots and heaps of potting soil. It's always a bit muddy because of the watering, so you have to watch your step when you walk through. We spend our mornings moving plants around to make sure they get enough sun or shade depending on what they like. It’s mostly just us with shovels and hoses, getting our hands in the dirt. We also do landscaping, so half the time our trucks are out at someone's house digging holes or planting hedges. The office is just a small shack where we keep the receipts and some seed packets. It’s not very tidy, but it works for us. We have all kinds of trees and flowering bushes, and sometimes we lose track of exactly how many we have in the back corner. People come by to ask what will grow best in their small balcony or if we can fix their lawn. We don't have a sales pitch; we just tell them what usually survives the local heat. There are always a few stray cats hanging around the nursery because it’s quiet and there’s plenty of shade. It’s a peaceful way to spend the day, even if it is hard on the back. We just enjoy working with the plants and seeing things grow.
