We’re based out of the sixth floor of Brigade Rubix 5. If you know the HMT Road area, you know it gets pretty busy around here. Being in the HMT Campus means there's always a lot of activity outside our windows. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most days it’s just us sitting at our desks, looking over blueprints and talking to contractors on the phone. The office is pretty standard, nothing too fancy, just enough space for our team to get the work done. Sometimes the elevators take forever, which is a bit of a pain when we're in a hurry to get to a site. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the practical side of building. It’s not always glamorous work. There’s a lot of paperwork and back-and-forth with suppliers that people don’t see. We just try to keep things moving. Most of us have been in the construction world for years, so we’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood. The HMT area has its own rhythm. Usually, by mid-afternoon, the sun hits the office a certain way and we all start thinking about tea. We aren't here to make big speeches about what we do. We just handle the projects that come our way and try to stay on top of the schedule. It's a job, and we take it seriously without making a big fuss about it.
