Nijesh Artist

Nijesh Artist is located at 37/15, on the ground floor over in Marappa Garden. If you know the Church Road Cross area in Benson Town, you’ve probably walked right past us. We are pretty close to the Airtel office, which helps people find the spot since the lanes here can get a bit confusing sometimes. It is just a small place where the work happens every day. There are always brushes laying around and the smell of paint is pretty much stuck in the walls now. It isn't a fancy gallery or anything like that. Just a workspace. We spend most of our time here just getting things done. Bangalore traffic makes getting to the studio a bit of a pain some mornings, but once you're inside, it’s quiet enough. The neighbors are nice people and we’ve been in this part of town for a while. Sometimes the light coming in from the front door is perfect for seeing colors, and other times we just use the overhead bulbs. It gets dusty being on the ground floor, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. People stop by sometimes just to ask for directions or see what is being painted that week. It’s just how things go here in Marappa Garden. No big corporate setup, just a guy and his art tools trying to make something that looks okay. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us working here.
