Nelamangala is quite a distance from the main city traffic. Our place is tucked away at Survey No. 88/3 and 88/4 in Basavanahalli. It’s more quiet out here than in central Bangalore, which is nice. We spend a lot of time on the shop floor. The building is big and it takes a while to walk from one end to the other if you forget something. Most of us take the staff bus or ride bikes to get here every morning. The air in Kasaba Hobli is actually pretty fresh before the sun gets too high. We work on various electrical things and systems. It’s heavy work, not something you do in a clean suit. There's a lot of metal, tools, and wires everywhere you look. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting together in the canteen talking about the news or our families. The local shops down the road are where we get our snacks. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist. It’s just an industrial setup where people show up and do their jobs. Sometimes the heavy rain makes the commute difficult on those roads, but the work doesn't stop. We've seen the area change a bit over the years. More sheds are popping up lately. Still, it feels like the edge of the countryside. We just try to keep the machines running and meet the daily targets. It's honest work and we've gotten used to the rhythm of this place.
