Hosur Main Road is always a bit of a nightmare with the trucks and the dust. We’re out at the 15th kilometer mark, near the Singarandra Post. It’s a long way from the city center, but it’s where the space is. NATURAL TEXTILES PVT. LTD. is based here at 5/2, 1-4, Beratana Agrahara. The building is big enough for what we do, which is mostly dealing with fabrics and orders all day. You can hear the constant hum of the road from inside the warehouse. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoons, making it pretty warm inside. It gets quite dusty, so we’re always cleaning the windows, though they don't stay clean for long. Most of the staff live nearby in the Singarandra area, so they just walk or bike in. We don't have a flashy sign, just the name on the gate. It’s a lot of manual work, moving rolls of cloth and keeping track of the colors. Sometimes the shipments are late because of the traffic on the main road, and we just have to wait it out. It’s a steady pace here, nothing too crazy. We just focus on getting the textiles out the door. It’s a simple setup, really, and it works for us. We’ve been here at Beratana Agrahara for years and know the rhythms of the road.
