Narayana Glass Plywood And Hardware has been a part of this street for a good stretch of time now. Inside, it smells strongly of cut wood and that specific scent you get from new metal hinges. We have plywood sheets leaned up against almost every wall, which makes the aisles feel a bit narrow sometimes. You have to be careful walking around so you don't trip over a box of screws or a door handle set. The glass cutting happens in the corner, and that screeching sound is just part of the background noise here, along with the trucks outside. We spend a lot of time counting out hardware pieces or checking the thickness of the ply for someone. It’s a busy place, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front glass. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just a lot of stock that people actually need for their homes. Our desk is usually covered in scraps of paper and measuring tapes.
