Nanak Home Collections sits right on the Whitefield Main Road, which anyone who lives around here knows is a real test of patience during rush hour. We are located in the Garudacharpalya area, specifically right across the street from the big Decathlon sports store. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the sports shop is, so they usually find us without too much trouble. Our place is full of various home items, and honestly, it gets a bit crowded in here when we get new stock in. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space for more. The floor is concrete and the lighting is just standard tubes, nothing like those fancy malls you see further down the road. We open up the shop in the morning, sweep the front area, and get ready for whoever might wander in. It is mostly people from the Mahadevapura area or folks heading home from work. The noise from the main road is constant, so we have to talk a bit louder than usual. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we lose track of a specific item in the back, but we eventually dig it out. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and being in such a busy part of Whitefield means there is always something happening outside the door to keep things interesting while we work.
