Being a coloniser in a place like Bangalore means you spend a lot of time looking at maps and driving through traffic to check on different plots of land. Our office is based here in Karnataka, and honestly, the city is so crowded now that just getting from one site to another takes up half the day. We focus on Naman Coloniser Pvt. Ltd, which basically means we deal with land and how it gets divided up for building. It is not the most exciting thing to talk about, but it keeps us busy. The office is usually a bit chaotic with people coming in to check on their paperwork or ask about different areas of the city. We have a few computers that are always running and a big table where we lay out the site plans. The weather in Bangalore is usually nice, so we keep the windows open when the traffic noise isn't too bad. Sometimes it rains in the afternoon and everything slows down for a bit. Most days are just spent on the phone or out in the sun looking at dirt and boundary walls. It’s practical work and we just take it one day at a time.
