Our Bangalore office for Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd is tucked away in Kengeri Satellite Town. We’re on the first floor of a building in Manasa Layout, near the 2nd Cross. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the center of the city, but it’s a good location for the projects we are handling on this side of town. The office is pretty basic—just desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets filled with site reports and permits. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find fancy espresso machines or designer furniture. We’re mostly focused on the day-to-day grind of managing construction schedules and making sure the materials show up when they’re supposed to. The team here is small but we’ve been working together for a long time, so we know how to stay out of each other’s way. It gets pretty loud when the local traffic picks up, but we’re used to it. We spend a lot of our time on-site, so the office is often half-empty during the day. When we are here, it’s all about getting the paperwork done so we can get back to the actual building. We don’t really do marketing or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the projects moving. It’s a straightforward life, and that’s the way we like to work.
