You can find N Nagaraj & Co at 156 Dvg Road in Basavanagudi. We are very close to the Gandhi Bazaar Circle, which is one of the most famous spots in this part of town. The area is always full of life, especially during festival times when the flower sellers are out. Our shop has that old Basavanagudi feel to it. It’s not modern and we haven't changed much in years. We like it that way. The wooden shelves are heavy with stock and the ceiling is quite high. We get a lot of people who have been coming to us for decades. They remember when the road was much quieter. Now there are cars and scooters everywhere. We spend our mornings cleaning the front and getting things ready for the day. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking lists. The air around here often smells like coffee from the nearby hotels and incense from the temples. It’s a good atmosphere to work in. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to do our job and serve the people who walk through the door. Sometimes we sit on the stools and just watch the crowd go by on Dvg Road. It’s a busy life but it’s a good one. We’ve seen the city change so much from this one spot, but we stayed right here.
