Mystic Herbal Cosmetics

If you head down Kanakapura Road to the 11th kilometer mark, you’ll find us at 57, J.C. Industrial Estate. We are pretty close to the Delhi Public School, so in the mornings and afternoons, the road is full of school buses and parents. Mystic Herbal Cosmetics is based in a unit that’s mostly storage and a small area for mixing things. It smells pretty strongly of different oils and dried plants, which is something visitors always comment on as soon as they walk in. The walls are lined with boxes stacked nearly to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to reach the stuff on the top shelves. It’s not a very modern setup, but it works for what we do. We have a small desk near the door where we handle the mail and the logs. The light in the afternoon comes through the high windows and makes the dust dance in the air. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number 57 on the gate. Most of the people working here have been around for years and they know the routine by heart. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here from the city center, but it’s quieter than being right in the middle of everything. We spend our days filling bottles and making sure the labels are straight, which is plenty of work for us.
