Our location is on J M Road in Indira Nagar. Most people in the city know the name because we’ve been around for a very long time. It’s an old-school kind of place. We don’t think changing things just for the sake of it is a good idea, so the way we do things today is pretty much how we’ve always done them. The building is a bit old and we have to fix things here and there quite often. We have these heavy wooden doors and a lot of silver-colored plates. People usually have to wait for a table, especially on Sunday mornings. We don’t have a digital booking system; you just stand in line and wait your turn like everyone else. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine, even if it looks a bit chaotic to someone from the outside. We use a lot of ghee and traditional spices that we grind ourselves. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy pots and serving hundreds of people every day. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. The sign we have on J M Road has been there forever. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables. Sometimes the waiters are a bit abrupt because they’re in a hurry, but that’s just how it is when it’s busy. We’re just a part of the neighborhood’s history.
