We’ve been set up here in Vijaynagar for a long time now. The office is right on 10th Main, at number 10268. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know it’s always moving and the traffic is something else. We mostly spend our time dealing with conductors and all the technical bits that go with them. It’s straightforward work. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Instead, we have desks piled with drawings and specs for electrical projects. Most of the day is just spent talking to suppliers or checking on how much metal we have left in the stores. Bangalore has grown so fast around us, but this building is where we’ve stayed through all the changes. It’s a practical space for practical people. The guys in the back handle the heavy reels of wire and make sure everything is sized correctly for the customers. It gets pretty busy around the middle of the month when orders come due. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it a real pain to get trucks in and out, but that’s just life in this city. We aren’t trying to be the biggest, just the ones who get the conductors right every time. There is always a lot of noise from the road, and inside it’s the sound of people working and phones ringing. It’s honest work. We make things that go into the power grid, even if nobody ever sees our name on them once they are installed.
