Our place, M.P.Integarted Roofings Pvt Ltd, is tucked away in 43 M.V Layout over in Virupakshapura. It’s right in the Thindlu area of Bangalore, near the Vidyaranyapura Post. We spend most of our time dealing with roofing sheets and all the stuff that goes along with that. Bangalore weather can be unpredictable, so people are always looking for ways to keep their sheds or factories dry. The office is usually stacked with samples and order forms. I’m usually the one answering the calls or checking the inventory in the back. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you’re coming from the main city because of the traffic, but the locals know where we are. We work with a small crew. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India, just trying to keep the business running steadily. My desk is always covered in notes and tea cups. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days we can't keep up with the deliveries. We have been in this layout for some time now and seen the neighborhood change a lot. The buildings are getting taller and more people are moving in. We just focus on getting the right materials out to the sites when they need them. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We try to be helpful when someone walks in with a problem, even if it's just a small repair they need for their home.
