Motwani Builder

Motwani Builder has been based at 158 Brigade Road for quite a long time now. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular room with some old desks and a lot of dusty blueprints rolled up in the corners. Brigade Road gets incredibly loud during the day with all the traffic and shoppers, so we usually keep the windows shut to get any work done. It is a small crew of us here. We spend most of our time dealing with cement orders and labor schedules rather than sitting around in meetings. The floor is a bit scuffed from people walking in with muddy boots straight from the construction sites. We do not have a big reception area or any slick brochures. If you happen to come by, you will probably find a couple of us hunched over a drawing or arguing about a delivery delay on the phone. It is mostly just hard work and making sure the walls we build are straight and solid. We know the shopkeepers nearby pretty well. Sometimes the tea guy from the corner brings over a few hot cups when things get really hectic in the afternoon. We started out small and stayed that way because it is much easier to keep track of the details ourselves. There is always a pile of bricks or some sample tiles lying around. Most of the day is just routine stuff, like checking permit dates. It is a job like any other.
