Mohan & Chandrasekhar

Our office is at 3 Jay Mahal Extension Main Road. It’s an older building, which gives it a bit of character, though the plumbing is sometimes temperamental. Mohan & Chandrasekhar has been in this spot for a long time, and the walls are lined with old shelves that are sagging under the weight of files. We have some heavy wooden desks that probably haven't been moved since the nineties. The windows look out onto the main road, so we watch the traffic change throughout the day. It’s a bit quieter than the center of the city, but it still gets busy. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We spend our time going through accounts and legal papers, often with a cup of tea that’s gone cold because we got busy. The ceiling fans make a rhythmic clicking sound that you eventually stop noticing. Sometimes we have to move stacks of folders just to find a place to sit for a meeting. It’s a comfortable enough place, even if it’s a bit cluttered. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a modern look. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on top of the deadlines. The garden area out front has a few plants that we try to water when we remember. It’s just where we work.
