Modern Eye Hospital

Modern Eye Hospital is located right in the middle of Kalyan Nagar at Walkeshwar 25/30. It's a busy street and finding a parking spot can be a bit of a gamble most days. Inside, we try to keep things moving along. People come in because their vision is getting blurry or they just need a new pair of frames. We have the usual chairs in the waiting room and a few posters on the walls about how eyes work. It’s not one of those huge, fancy medical centers where you feel lost. It’s more of a local place where the staff knows many of the patients by name because they live just a few streets away. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment and making sure the files are in the right order. The doctors are usually back in the small rooms doing exams while the rest of us handle the front desk and help people pick out glasses that don't look too weird on them. There’s a lot of walking back and forth. Sometimes the waiting room gets full and people have to stand, but nobody seems to mind too much as long as they get seen. We see kids who are nervous about their first eye test and older people who have been wearing the same glasses for twenty years. It’s just a normal part of life here in this part of town, keeping things simple.
