If you know where the Cauvery Water Tank is on Kodi Chikkana Halli Road, then you already know exactly where we are located. We're at 30/3, right in the Begur Hobli area. It’s a very recognizable landmark for anyone who lives or works around here. We work with textiles, mostly. The space is usually filled with big rolls of fabric and various samples scattered around. It can get a bit dusty at times, but that’s just the nature of the business we are in. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights and big mirrors to show off. It’s just a honest workspace where we sort things out and pack them up. We’ve seen this road get busier and busier as every year passes by. It used to be much quieter around the tank area, but now there’s always some kind of traffic. We usually start quite early in the morning to get a head start on the day’s work. A few of us have been working together for a long time now, so we know how each other works without really having to say much. It’s a simple enough life here. We don't do any big marketing campaigns or anything like that. Usually, word of mouth is what brings new people to our door. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the stacks of cloth don’t fall over. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving things around. We take our lunch breaks together. It's a decent living.
