Micron EMS

Micron EMS is tucked away at 44, on the 2nd Floor over in J.C. Industrial Area. We are right at the corner of 7th Main and 4th Cross. Being in an industrial area means there is always noise from trucks and other shops nearby. We work on electronic manufacturing services, which mostly involves a lot of sitting at benches with soldering irons and small components. It’s precise work, and our eyes get tired by the end of the shift. The second floor stays a bit cooler than the ground level, which is nice in the summer. We have a small crew and we’ve worked together for a long time. There's no fancy corporate culture here, just people getting their tasks done. We handle boards and assemblies for various clients who need things built to their specs. Sometimes the parts arrive late and we have to stay a bit longer to catch up. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we tell everyone to be careful. We don't spend money on glossy brochures. Most of our work comes from people who know what we can do. The workspace is filled with machines and bins of tiny parts that you’d lose if you dropped them. It’s a busy place, but we keep it organized enough to find what we need. It's just a steady, everyday kind of business where we focus on the hardware. We're usually here early to start the machines.
