Micast

Micast is based at B-300, 7th Main, 2nd Stage in P.I.E. We have been around this part of the industrial estate for years. It’s a busy road, and there’s always a truck or a tempo parked somewhere nearby. Our workshop isn't the biggest, but we use every inch of the space we have. The machines take up most of the room. We have a small crew of guys who really know how to handle the equipment. Most of them live nearby and have been with us since we started. We don't really have a front desk person, so if you walk in, you might have to shout to get someone's attention over the noise. It’s just how it goes here. We work hard, take our lunch together, and then get back to it. The 7th Main can get pretty congested in the evenings. We try to get our shipments out before the traffic hits. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk or marketing. We just look at the drawings and make what needs to be made. It’s practical work for practical people. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we're too busy to worry about that right now. We just want to do the job and keep the lights on. It's a steady life in a busy place. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch, but we don't mind the extra hours. We just focus on the parts and the metal.
