We are set up in the Sri Balaji Complex, specifically in the A Block over in Sultanpet. Our address also lists Abdul Rahamans Street, which is a very busy part of the city. If you’ve ever walked through Sultanpet, you know it’s a hub for all kinds of trading and wholesale business. We fit right in there. Our agency handles a lot of different products, so there is always something new coming through the door. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples, but that’s just how we work. We don’t have a receptionist or a big lobby; you just walk in and find one of us. Most of the day is spent negotiating prices or checking on shipments that are stuck in traffic somewhere. It’s a noisy neighborhood with people shouting and horns honking all day long, but it gives the place energy. We have a small corner where we keep a kettle for tea, and that’s basically our break room. The stairs in the complex are a bit steep, so we get our workout just by moving around. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency out there; we just want to make sure our regulars are taken care of and that the bills get paid. It’s a simple business model and it works for us. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a good community.
