Maverick Ventures

Maverick Ventures is over in Vijayanagar, Bangalore. We are at 107 E on 16th Main. It’s a pretty nice part of the city, at least compared to the more crowded areas. We’ve been here for a bit, working out of this space. The name "Maverick" might sound like we’re doing something wild, but mostly it’s just us at our desks trying to make these ventures work. Bangalore is full of startups and businesses, so we’re just one of many in this neighborhood. 16th Main is a decent road, and we’ve got some good places to grab lunch nearby. Our office isn't anything too fancy. It’s got the basic stuff—computers, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of coffee mugs. We spend a lot of time brainstorming and then trying to actually execute those ideas, which is the harder part. Some days are slow and we just look out the window at the Karnataka sun, and other days we’re running around like crazy. We don't have a big team of executives. It’s a small group of us who actually care about what we’re building. We’ve had to learn a lot on the fly. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we just fix them and move on to the next thing. It’s a simple life of trying to build something from the ground up here in Vijayanagar. We just show up every day and do what needs doing until the lights go out.
