If you've ever been to S.P. Road, you know how hectic it gets. Our place, Mata Camera Repairing Services, is at No. 86 on the first floor. S.P. Road is famous for electronics, but it can be a maze if you aren't careful. We’ve been repairing cameras in this spot for a long time. The stairs leading up to the first floor are a bit narrow. Once you get inside, it’s a different world. It’s quiet because we need to focus on the tiny parts inside the cameras. We have workbenches covered with screwdrivers, lenses, and bits of glass. It’s not the cleanest looking place because there’s always a project halfway done. We are an authorized service center, so we see a lot of different models every day. Some people come from far away because they don't trust just anyone with their gear. We don't have a big waiting room with fancy chairs. Most people just drop off their cameras and come back later. We spend hours squinting at small circuits. It’s tiring on the eyes but we’re used to it. The noise from the street below never really stops, but we don't notice it much anymore. We don't do any big promotions. Most people hear about us from other photographers or shop owners on the street. If you have a broken lens, just climb up to the first floor at No. 86.
