Maruti Constructions

You can find Maruti Constructions over at Vimanapura, inside the Ghnashyampark Society at number 199. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you arrive after ten in the morning. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to move tools in and out. We aren't the type to wear suits; you’ll usually find us in dusty jeans and t-shirts. The office is filled with samples of granite, some half-empty boxes of nails, and a lot of measuring tapes that never seem to be where you left them. We spend a lot of time driving back and forth between the society and various job sites. When we are in the office, we’re mostly just staring at spreadsheets or arguing about the price of steel. It’s a small operation, so everyone does a bit of everything. One day you might be filing taxes, and the next you’re helping unload a truck. We have an old ceiling fan that squeaks, but it keeps the air moving. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or big ads. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or see our trucks driving around Vimanapura. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just focus on getting the foundations poured and the roofs finished before the monsoon hits. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and out of trouble. There is always some unfinished paperwork sitting on the corner.
